Early Life and Background

Leicka Paul was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in July 1993. She is the fifth child in a family of six. In 2007, when she was a teenager, she left Haiti to join her family in the United States, settling in Florida. While in the U.S., she completed her secondary education and went on to pursue higher education, earning a degree in Nursing (and business administration, according to some sources).

Musical Career

Leicka has always had a passion for music. According to her bio, she started singing early (for instance, in church) and held onto her dream of becoming an artist even while studying. Her musical style centers largely on Konpa, a popular Haitian/Caribbean genre. Her first single was “Ou Kapte Mwen”, which combines konpa with zouk influences.

Over the years, she has released several songs and worked with other Caribbean artists:
